Overview

The ANU Global Learners of Business and Economics (GLOBE) Program is an exciting new offering from the ANU College of Business and Economics to encourage CBE students to gain practical work experience in an international setting.

This not-for-credit program offers a limited number of students the opportunity to undertake an international placement over the summer break through specific programs supported by CBE. All internships are unpaid.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open to ANU undergraduate and postgraduate students currently enrolled in an ANU College of Business and Economics program who meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Undergraduate students who have completed 96 units of credit by the end of Semester 2
  • Postgraduate students who have completed 48 units of credit by the end of Semester 2
  • Students with GPA of 5 and above
  • Students who are able to obtain visa with work rights in host country.

Ineligible students:

  • Current CBE Honours students
  • Students graduating in December of the current year (including those who are transitioning to Honours/Masters programs next year)

Application and Selection

Applications will be submitted for specific approved internship opportunities/programs as per the selection requirements for each opportunity. Applicants meeting eligibility requirements will be shortlisted and provided to host organisation for consideration. The selection process may involve an interview.

Successful applicants are required to meet all requirements (specified at time of offer) before travel grants will be paid. Participants will be required to complete the ANU Consent Matters module on Wattle on acceptance of offer and attend a pre-departure briefing.

In the case that students do not formally accept the offer, or do not meet other specified conditions within specified timeframes, the position may be offered to another student.

Language Requirements

Language requirements for some destination countries may have language fluency requirements.
