2019 ANU Accounting and Business Analysis Competition - Indonesia

The Research School of Accounting, ANU College of Business and Economics is pleased to once again host its inaugural Accounting and Business Analysis Competition in Jakarta, Indonesia. This is a team-based contest that brings together groups of Grade 11 and Grade 12 students in each city to showcase their analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

This competition provides an opportunity for high school students to challenge their understanding of financial information, corporate governance and differences in countries’ business environments. The best submissions (up to 5) from Jakarta will be invited to the final round presentations held in Jakarta.

Register a team

Please provide all team members' full names and ensure the names are correct as all participants will be awarded a certificate.

If your team has completed your report, please upload a copy of your report here. Otherwise, please submit a copy of your team's report via email to international.cbe@anu.edu.au no later than Friday 6 September 2019, 11:59pm

2019 Entry guidelines

  • Entry is restricted to Grade 11 and Grade 12 students (School Year 2019-2020)
  • Schools can enter up to 4 teams for the registration and selection round
  • Each team should consist of a minimum of 3 and maximum of 4 people
  • Teams will need to provide their own transport to the competition venue in Jakarta

Registration and selection round

Teams are required to prepare a report, word limit of 1200 words, addressing the question in the case study.
  • Case material and guidelines will be provided to relevant school teachers and career counsellors from 3 June 2019
  • Submissions will be evaluated by a judging panel from the Research School of Accounting, ANU College of Business and Economics
  • The top 5 teams in each city will be invited to the final round held in Jakarta
  • All participants in the selection round will receive a certificate of participation

To register a team, complete the online registration form below by Friday 23 August, 11:59pm WIB.

Final round

Shortlisted teams are required to prepare a 10 minutes’ oral presentation on their case study findings.
  • Presentation should last no longer than 10 minutes
  • Students are able use to PowerPoint slides, alternative presentation tools or visual aids to support their presentation
  • Presentations will be evaluated by a judging panel from the Research School of Accounting, ANU College of Business and Economics

Time: 6pm to 8:30pm
Venue: TBC

Prizes

  • The winning team will receive a $AUD1500 Visa gift card
  • The runner up will receive a $AUD500 Visa gift card
  • Each participant from the winning team will receive a winner certificate
  • The winning school will receive a trophy
  • A merit certificate will be presented to all other participants involved in the final round
