International Masters degree applicants

1. Find your program

Visit our Postgraduate programs page to find a program that's right for you.

2. Understand the entry requirements

Before you can apply for a master degree, you need to already hold or be about to complete a bachelor degree. Some programs require you to demonstrate a certain academic average, such as a credit or distinction average.

Make sure you understand the admission requirements for your chosen degree by reading them carefully on Programs and Courses website.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Please note the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program has different entry requirements and application procedure. Visit the ANU College of Business and Economics website for more information.

3. English requirements

In addition to meeting the academic entry requirements, all applicants need to meet the minimum English requirement as outlined in the University's English requirements for admission policy.

4. Gather supporting documents

When you apply, you will need to upload clear, colour copies of your academic transcripts, graduation certificates, and proof of English Language proficiency. There is no need to certify your documents, however they must be original copies. ANU independently verifies the authenticity of your qualifications.

5. Submit your application

You will need to submit your application directly to the ANU. Find the program you want to study in the Program & Courses website, then click the Apply button to access the application portal.

6. Receive an offer

Applications to the University are assessed on an ongoing basis. The University will contact you about the result of your application as soon as possible. Applications generally take between 4-6 weeks to assess.

All offers are issued to your email address so it is important that you provide an email address in your application that you check regularly and you can easily access.

7. Accept an offer

Due to high demand for our programs, we recommend all applicants to accept as soon as possible so they can start planning your program and get involved in our amazing student community. To accept an offer, please complete our online acceptance form.
