About

The ANU College of Business and Economics (CBE) is dedicated to ensuring our students are prepared to successfully navigate the professional landscape and meet the expectations of their future employers. That is why we are working with industry partners to co-run the flagship professional development program at ANU, MomentuM.

Student employability is a core value and key strategic focus at CBE, and we know that employers demand well-rounded graduates, equipped for the job market. Designed to complement world-class academic studies and co-curricular learning, MomentuM provides students with a strong foundation for continued professional development.

Through practical and theoretical opportunities, students build and develop industry-identified key skills and attributes to develop confident, "work-ready" and competitive graduates and support a successful transition to the workplace.

Program Features

Throughout their participation in MomentuM, students (mentees) take time to self-reflect, consider and develop career goals and define personal strengths and areas for development. With guidance from their Mentor, themed milestones and personal research, students work to achieve these goals.

Mentors and mentees also have the opportunity to attend exclusive interactive workshops and networking opportunities throughout the duration of the program, to support and encourage the mentees professional development, maximise their work-ready potential and broaden their professional networks.

MomentuM is a great opportunity for students to access the knowledge and experience of established business leaders, and learn the lessons of those who have been there before. It's also a perfect opportunity for students to build their employability skills and professional networks before entering the full-time workforce.

Matthew Andrews, General Manager (ACT),  CPA Australia

MomentuM is an opportunity to not only interact with and learn from business professionals, it is an opportunity to develop and better yourself. It provides you with the resources to consider your future and develop skills that will assist you in the workforce. MomentuM allowed me to build my confidence, realise potential career paths and develop my networking and communication skills. It also allowed me to form valuable connections with my MomentuM peers and mentors.
