The John Mitchell Economics of Poverty Lab

The Lab is run out of the CBE Research School of Economics (RSE) and is a response to an urgent need to take the vast literature of economic theory related to poverty and translate it into real-world policies and outcomes. Established using financial support from the National Institutes Grant in concert with a generous donation from ANU Alumnus John Mitchell, the Lab will use economic field experiments to understand human capital formation and, in doing so, inform evidence-based policy development around the globe.
