Join CBE for lunch, as Dr Kimin Eom introduces basic concepts of social norms and discusses how to utilise norms for messaging and communication to promote positive change. Additionally, he will address challenges associated with norm-based communication and offer suggestions to overcome them.

Kimin will build on the idea that humans, as social animals, are sensitive to social information. This characteristic can be harnessed to motivate people to engage in behaviours that benefit society. Specifically, social norms have been employed as a tool for attitude and behaviour change in key domains, such as climate change.
