Alumni Hall of Fame Nomination form

The College’s Alumni Hall of Fame profiles the professional accomplishments of our alumni and seeks to pay tribute, acknowledge and engage with leaders in business and economics who have distinguished themselves through service to the ANU, to the Australian community and overseas.

To be eligible for consideration, the nominee must be a graduate of one of the disciplines comprising the ANU College of Business and Economics and have demonstrated significant contribution and exemplary leadership.

Nomination submission

Nominations can be submitted electronically via this form. 

  • Nominations open – Monday 15th July 2019 (9am).
  • Nominations close – Friday 30 August 2019 (midnight, AEST).

You will receive a confirmation message upon the successful submission of your nomination.

Nomination documentation

Your nomination should include the following:

  • A completed official nomination form.
  • A response to the two supporting statement questions.

Judging criteria

All eligible applications will be assessed on the extent to which they meet the following three criteria:

  • Impact - evidence and scale of the tangible impact and contribution the nominee has had in their profession, community or field of expertise;
  • Service - evidence the nominee is committed to bettering the lives of others in their community or society in general through their professional or volunteer efforts; and
  • ANU - the influence of the nominee's, and examples of how the nominee has stayed involved with the University community.

Award category eligibility

Please check the eligibility criteria for the award you wish to nominate for before starting the nomination:

Distinguished Alumna/us of the Year

This award is the most prestigious award by the College to a member of the CBE alumni community. Nominees for this category must be recognised as alumni of CBE, have completed a postgraduate or undergraduate degree at the University and demonstrated significant contributions and support to developing the College and its future students.

Young Alumna/us of the Year

This award is presented to an outstanding individual 35 years of age or younger (born in 1984 or later). Nominees for this category must be recognised as alumni of CBE and have completed a postgraduate or undergraduate degree at the University. He/she must be actively engaged with CBE alumni and demonstrates continued support to the College and its future students.

Conditions of nomination

Nominations must be received by midnight (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on Friday 30th August 2019. Late nominations will not be accepted.

  • Self-nomination is not allowed.
  • Late nominations will not be accepted.
  • The selection panel reserves the right to reallocate nominations between categories based on the field of nominees.
  • Nomination forms and supporting documentation must be completed in English.
  • Alumni who have been unsuccessful in previous nominations may be re-nominated in the same or other category.
  • All nominees (if aware of their nomination) and nominators will be contacted by the University with the outcome of the nomination.
  • Due to the large volume of quality nominations received, the University will be unable to provide feedback to nominees or nominators.
  • Award recipients and nominees may be acknowledged in media publications and via University communication channels, for example the CBE website and social media.
