Biography

Dr Alex Richardson has been an academic at The Australian National University for 15 years, with teaching and research interests across the fields of user-centred design, computer-assisted education, human-computer interaction, immersive virtual reality, business intelligence and decision support capability. He has led or worked on a wide variety of Australian Research Council, Defence Science and Technology Organisation and Australian Communications Consumer Action Network grants. He is an accomplished educator, recognised with multiple education award nominations and education committee memberships across several schools and colleges as Business Information Systems discipline representative. He has a senior education leadership role as Deputy Director (Education) for the Research School of Management, with a passion for industry relevant skills development and communities of practice. He is also a long serving executive member of the National Centre for Information Systems Research, founding member of Information Technology Educators ACT, and member of Association of Information Systems, Association for Computing Machinery, Australian Computer Society, and IEEE.
