Host an intern

Benefits of hosting an intern

The internship program in the ANU College of Business and Economics is a great initiative for industry partners to gain access to a pool of high-achieving and talented ANU students in their senior academic years for short-term projects.

The internships provide mutual benefit for host organisations and students. Students apply academic knowledge in context, apply and develop employability and professional skills, and gain valuable insights into the professional workplace.

Industry partners benefit from fresh perspectives based on research-led education as well as having the opportunity to assess students first-hand for graduate and ongoing employment.

We would be delighted to work with partners across public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. Suitable projects could be either research-based or operational-based in any discipline areas related to Business and Economics.

Project disciplines

We seek placements for students in the following disciplines:

Accounting Actuarial Studies
Business Administration Business Information Systems
Corporate Sustainability Economics (Undergraduates only)
Finance International Business
Marketing Management
Project Management Statistics

To meet the academic requirements for our students, projects must run over one of two time periods which coincides with our ANU Semesters:

  • Late February/Early March to Late May for Semester 1 projects
  • Late July/Early August to Late October for Semester 2 projects
