Mick Allworth

Mick Allworth

Mick is a specialist in the field of Government Accounting. He was responsible for creating KPMG’s Federal Government consulting practice in Canberra, and was its leader for over 25 years.

In 2002 Mick was appointed KPMG’s National Leader of all Government Services which included all Public Healthcare, Public Sector Infrastructure and Government Services throughout Australia. He led the strategy development and oversaw the evolution of the National Government practice into one of largest business segments in KPMG.

Mick's other passion is business culture and he led a significant cultural change program in Canberra which was then adopted across Australia and subsequently many countries globally.

Mick was the Canberra Chairman for over 25 years and he was also a member of KPMG’s board for 6 years.

In 2012 Mick was appointed as a global KPMG partner and was the leader of KPMG’s Cities Centre of Excellence. He was involved in many projects around the globe including China, India and South Africa.

Now retired from KPMG, Mick is currently actively involved on various boards, is the President of a US-based startup and spends considerable time mentoring.
