Last night the Vice-Chancellor honoured ANU teaching staff at the 2018 Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in Education ceremony. Five academic staff from the ANU College of Business and Economics (CBE) were among the recipients to receive honours.

The Australian National University, as a place of learning, is committed to encouraging and rewarding excellence in teaching and these awards provide recognition to the achievements of individuals that have excelled in this area.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Brian Schmidt congratulated all recipients on their awards.

"It takes knowledge, time, care and imagination to meet the challenges that continue to face teaching within universities, and I am really pleased that so many of our staff have those qualities in abundance" he said.

Award winners from the CBE were:

  • Dr Fei Huang – Award for Teaching Excellence (Early Career Category)
  • Dr Ding Ding – Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning (Early Career Category)
  • Isaac Pan – Award for Excellence in Tutoring or Demonstrating
