Internship program nominated for teaching award

4 November 2016

The ANU College of Business and Economics (CBE) Internship Program has been shortlisted for the prestigious Reimagine Education Award in the category of Nurturing Employability.

The global award recognises innovative education pedagogies dedicated to enhancing learning and employability.

The CBE internship program matches the specialist skills of high performing CBE students with work placements in a range of business’, both locally and internationally. The experience allows students to immerse themselves within an organisation and apply their academic skills in a professional environment.

CBE’s Director of Engaged Learning and head of the Internship Program, Dr Vinh Lu, said, “I am very excited to know that the CBE Internships Program has been shortlisted for this prestigious education award, that it will be showcased in front of our global peers at the Reimagine Education conference.

“At CBE, we aim to develop tomorrow’s leaders who will transform business, society and economies. Our innovative internship program is just one of the many student-focused initiatives in place that make ANU graduates the most employable in Australia.”

The 2016 Reimagine Education Awards ceremony will be held from 5-6 December in Philadelphia as part of the annual Reimagine Education Conference.

The winner of the Nurturing Employability category will be the project that can clearly demonstrate a link between their project’s approach and improved employability outcomes.
