ANU Thrive | University Mental Health Day

ANU Thrive | University Mental Health Day

Participate in University Mental Health Day – a program of events has been scheduled for the whole week highlights include:

  1. Tuesday 5 May (11am – 1130am) Mindfulness Session with ANU Counselling: staff and students are invited to join the ANU to take a collective breath together. You can join the Zoom session here.
  2. Tuesday 5 May (3pm to 4pm) Feast of Strangers (COVID edition): This virtual event supports students to meet others. It gives students a reprieve from the loop of asking the same questions, by encouraging them to ask unconventional questions and learn surprising things about other participants. The event is run in conjunction with Batyr, an organisation that encourages positive discussions about mental health so that young people feel empowered to seek support when needed. You can sign up online here.
  3. Tuesday 5 May – Friday 8 May Talking about it (Video series): In a series of pre-recorded TED style talks you will hear from students, clinicians and academics across the university talking about their experiences and mental health topics with a focus on COVID. These will be posted on Facebook throughout the day and reposted throughout the week.
