Qualitative Research in the Business Context

Qualitative research is a naturalistic and interpretive approach to understanding the social world and its participants. Qualitative research gained momentum in the social sciences from the late nineteenth century and developed into distinct methodologies to understand changing social contexts.

This workshop will introduce several qualitative methodologies that are commonly used in business research. Specifically, the role of the researcher, research design, data collection, data analysis, and theory generation will be discussed in relation to the methodologies.
