Prof Shirley Gregor, Director of the ANU College of Business and Economics Innovation Hub, has the pleasure of inviting CBE staff, Honourary Members and Associates of the CBE Innovation Hub to a seminar by Prof Michael Rosemann, Executive Director (Corporate Engagement, International & Development) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).

Abstract

This seminar will provide the audience with the mindset and toolset needed to position universities as credible and capable innovation partners for organisations aiming for an improved transformational performance. Dr Rosemann will share in this seminar how he worked with organisations in the establishment of the role of a Chief Opportunity Officer, highlight the importance of innovation systems and innovation latency, and the requirement to create revenue resilient organisations. His presentation will include various recommendations, engagement and governance models for how universities can become trusted partners for corporations seeking highest levels of innovation efficiency and effectiveness.

About the presenter

Dr Michael Rosemann is Professor for Information Systems and Executive Director, Corporate Engagement at the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. As the Head of the Information Systems School, he established three Innovation Chairs funded by Woolworths, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Brisbane Airport. Information Systems at QUT has been ranked 5/5 in the ERA 2015 assessment.

Dr Rosemann is a disruptive thinker with a passion for innovation systems, digital mindfulness and revenue resilience. His work is focused on creating exciting future worlds with today’s possibilities making current practices obsolete.

In his role as the Executive Director, Corporate Engagement, he is responsible for managing the relationships with significant corporations. Driven by the desire to further professionalise the entire partner management lifecycle, Michael’s work is dedicated to new and innovative engagement models, systems and processes in this fast moving area.

Dr. Rosemann is the author/editor of seven books, more than 250 refereed papers (h-index, GS, 57), Editorial Board member of ten international journals and co-inventor of US patents. His publications have been translated into Russian, Mandarin, German and Portuguese. Michael is a frequent, global keynote speaker and provides advice to organisations from diverse industries such as telecommunication, finance, insurance, utility, retail, public sector, logistics and the film industry. He is the Honorary Consul for Germany in South Queensland.
