  Research Focus
A strong education in accounting, finance, economics and psychology has allowed me the opportunity to publish in academic journals including International Journal of Behavioural Accounting and Finance, International Review of Finance, Pacific Basin Finance Journal, Australian Journal of Management, Accounting and Finance, Pacific Accounting Review, Advances in Pacific Basin Financial Markets, Australian Journal of Public Administration and Applied Economic Letters. In 2000, I was invited to be a Fellow, CPA Australia. In 2002, with Richard Heaney (now RMIT) and Tim Brailsford (now UQ) we were awarded Researchers of the Year from CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) for research on derivative use in Commonwealth organisations. In 2004, I was invited to join the authorship of a mainstream Australian textbook on corporate finance. As an active contributor to the finance and accounting profession and I have served on a number of professional committees. I have been successful in obtaining a ARC-Discovery grants in excess of $400,000.
