Dr Lin obtained his Doctor of Philosophy from the Australian National University, Canberra, ACT, in 2008 and Master in Information Systems from Central Queensland University, Rockhampton, QLD, in 2001. Dr Lin's current research interests include strategic development of information systems, the design of multimedia and interactive learning systems, and human-computer interaction in knowledge spreading. He is a core member of the National Centre for Information Systems Research. The Australian Computer Society (ACS) assessed him as an Information Technology Officer – Systems Programmer in 2001.
Dr Lin was a Project Assistant Researcher (MIS) in National Palace Museum, Taiwan from 2001 to 2004 and a group leader of Digital Museum Project, involved in several national projects as following: 1. The Digital Museum Project (2001): The Beauty of Chinese Art, 2. Plan for Knowledge-Based Economy Development (2002): The Digital Museum of the National Palace Museum, and 3. E-Taiwan Project (2003): Developing and Applying for Digital Museum of the National Palace Museum.
