Ujwal Kayande joined the ANU in June 2008. He was previously on the marketing faculty at the Smeal College of Business (Penn State University). He has also taught marketing courses at the Australian Graduate School of Management (Sydney), the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), Indian School of Business (Hyderabad), University of Auckland (NZ), and University of Alberta (Canada).
His work has been published or is forthcoming in leading business journals, including the Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, Information Systems Research, the International Journal of Research in Marketing, and the Journal of Retailing. In 1998, he was given the Donald Lehmann Award by the American Marketing Association for the best PhD-based article published in the Journal of Marketing Research. He was also named Researcher of the Year in 2000 by the Australia/New Zealand Marketing Academy. His teaching experience includes teaching Market Research, Marketing Management, Marketing Engineering, and Marketing Strategy in Executive MBA, MBA, and undergraduate programs in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, and the USA. He has been a finalist thrice (2005-2007) for the Fred Brand Jr. teaching award at Penn State University, been voted twice as an outstanding professor by MBA students at the AGSM, and won a teaching award in Canada for his MBA and undergraduate teaching.
Research Interests: Marketing Models & Measurement, Model Implementation Issues, and Marketing Strategy.
