  Brief Biography
Dr Dennis Hart holds degrees in physics, wine science, philosophy and information systems, and is currently a part-time senior lecturer in the School of Accounting and Business Information Systems at the Australian National University. Prior to his academic career he was, for 15 years, an instructor officer in the Royal Australian Navy, retiring in 1992 with the rank of Commander. In addition to his academic activities, Dr Hart also manages and runs the 17 acre vineyard on his and his partner's property near Yass, NSW. Other interests include wine (both the making and tasting of it), improving his ability to play his baby grand piano, hi-fi systems, riding his motorbike, and reading non-fiction, usually of a philosophical or historical bent.
