Advanced Standing / Status / Exemptions
All cases for advanced standing or status for previous studies are evaluated
on a case-by-case basis and enquiries should be directed to the program
convenor. As a general rule:
- Status: In accordance with university policy no more than 50% of a
degree may be granted for work which is considered by the Dean to be
equivalent or relevant to a course(s) in the program and where the work was
completed no more than seven years prior to the commencement of the program.
This includes students articulating from other Faculty postgraduate degrees.
- Exemptions: Where a student has completed a course(s) deemed by the
Dean to be equivalent in content to a core or specialisation course(s), the
student may be directed to select an alternate course(s) in its place.
