Advanced Standing: Undergraduate
The ANU College of Business and Economics welcomes students seeking to obtain
advanced standing (or 'credit transfer') into the second year,
or second semester, of the Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Finance.
Advanced standing in the Bachelor of Actuarial Studies, Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons)
in Actuarial Studies and Economics
and Bachelor of International Business is not normally permitted.
Advanced standing in the Bachelor of Economics is on a case-by-case basis.
How much Advanced Standing can students obtain?
Generally, students receive a maximum of one year of advanced standing in College degrees. In exceptional circumstances,
students may sometimes receive up to one and a half years of advanced standing
(if transferring from degree-level study), or a couple of additional
subjects (if articulating from diploma/associate degree-level study).
Students seeking to articulate generally fall into one of three categories and are awarded varying amounts of advanced standing
depending on their educational background and performance.
The
advanced standing policy details the rules and regulations that cover the
provision of advanced standing in undergraduate programs.

Degree Transfer From an Australian university
|
Who are these transfers suited to?
For students who have completed some of a bachelor degree at an Australian university, or
an overseas campus of an Australian university.
How are these transfers assessed?
The College utilises a special algorithm to determine students' eligibility for entry on the
basis of both their pre-tertiary (eg UAI, GCE 'A' Levels, IB, etc.) and tertiary-level results.
This system enables students to receive a maximum amount of advanced standing - up to one and a
half years for exceptional students transferring degrees comparable in their syllabi. Some
subject-level pre-requisites may affect the amount of advanced standing offered.

recognised by the ANU College of Business and Economics.
How are these transfers assessed?
