Jenni Bettman - PhD
Candidate in Finance
There are a number of
reasons why I chose to study a PhD in Finance at the ANU. Not only has it
given me the opportunity to be supervised by leading finance academics in
Australia, its focus on both coursework and research guarantees a high
quality PhD outcome.
Further, the reputation of
a Finance PhD from ANU gives any graduand a variety of career
opportunities. My personal preference is to stay in academia, and with the
reputation and quality of the PhD in Finance I will obtain from ANU, I
should be able to do this either locally or beyond.
Anthony Swan – PhD
Candidate in Economics
Compared to the ANU no other university in
Australia has academics that offer the same depth of knowledge and
capability within in my chosen research field, growth and development
economics. Importantly, my supervisor, Professor Steve Dowrick, is the
foremost expert in my research field in Australia.
Most senior researchers in ANU economics have
worked in top universities around the world and are very forthcoming in
helping PhD students get their research published in good journals. Building
my publication record is most important for my future career.
While research at ANU is not always easy…the quality of research that you
come out with makes it all worthwhile. |
