new ideas into ways and means of improving business relationships with
customers. As a living discipline,
marketing is about creating products, communicating ideas and delivering on
promises between organisations and the marketplace in the commercial,
non-profit, social, political and government marketing
arenas.

Staff members supervise research students in the honours,
MPhil and PhD programs. Current students study a wide range of topics in areas
like consumption of ethnic food marketing, supply chain decisions in retail,
marketing leadership and entrepreneurship in regional revitalization schemes,
service quality perception in the content of Islamic faith, political brand leadership,
brand icons and communities of brands. Most research projects are set in the
context of the Asia-Pacific region or countries in this region.
