Economic History involves the study of changes in the performance and structure of an economy across a range of economies from underdeveloped countries through to advance developed countries; and for both free market and command systems.

Economic History involves the study of changes in the performance and structure of an economy across a range of economies from underdeveloped countries through to advance developed countries; and for both free market and command systems.

The history of economic thought embraces the development of economic theory from the eighteenth century to the present. It anayses the development of ideas against the background of the economic environment and the policy debates of the period.
