The Australian Centre of Regulatory Economics (ACORE), established at the Australian National University, is the national focal point for excellence in research and teaching in the economics of regulation. The Centre is broadly based, innovative and flexible in its approach to regulatory issues. The Centre is built around a unique model of interaction between leading academics in the field and members of regulatory bodies, industry associations, and regulated businesses. This model ensures the development of relevant courses, the design and commissioning of high quality research meeting the needs of the regulatory and regulated community, and fosters continued professional learning. Our team is drawn from a broad range of disciplines at the ANU, and is committed to the further development of a national network and strong international collaborations in regulatory economics.
