The Australian Centre of Regulatory Economics (ACORE) was established on 1 January 2004 with the support of regulated industries and regulators to facilitate the development of a national critical mass of understanding of regulation through high quality teaching and research on regulation, both from an economic and from an interdisciplinary viewpoint. As a result of changes instituted by The Australian National University in 2006 to create seven colleges from its existing academic units, the Faculty of Economics and Commerce, including the Australian Centre of Regulatory Economics, and the National Graduate School of Management combined on 1 January 2006 to form the new ANU College of Business and Economics (CBE). The College draws together a wide range of disciplines and programs in the broad fields of business and economics and has integrated these activities in consolidating its educational and research programs. The Australian Centre of Regulatory Economics has integrated with the CBE School of Economics, which has a long history of excellence in research and education in various areas of economics.
Information concerning the educational programs offered by the ANU College of
Business and Economics, and research within the College is available from the
College website. |
