The ANU Macroeconomics Study Group

The ANU MSG is meeting again after a long recess! We are a group of economists (from theorists to econometricians) located around the ANU campus and beyond: some of us can be found in the School of Economics, the RSSS, RSPAS, APSEG and the Commonwealth Treasury.

We want to focus on learning economic theory and topics in econometrics that may be new to us. The aim is that these can ultimately be applied to macroeconomic research. Graduate students wishing to study topics beyond their basic coursework are strongly encouraged to participate. You are also encouraged to join if you wish to avoid tunnel vision in your own research.

Convenors: Facundo Sepulveda (RSSS) and Timothy Kam (School of Economics).

Rule of the game  The study group will be informal, however we do expect participants to commit to attending and contributing to regular sessions. Whoever proposes a topic of study must gather the reading material and make them available to all participants. If you have any suggestions for topics of study, please email Facundo or Tim.
